About Dr Edmond Edi-Osagie
Dr Edi-Osagie (MB.BS, MRCOG, MD) is a Senior Consultant Gynaecologist at Manchester University Hospitals and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester. His work centres on reproductive medicine, endometriosis, pelvic pain and benign pelvic masses such as fibroids and ovarian cysts.
What patients from Cheshire tend to value most is continuity. The consultant you meet at your first appointment is the one who scans you, who operates if surgery is needed, and who sees you at follow-up. More about his background is on our team page.
Getting to the Clinic from Cheshire
The Alexandra Hospital is on Mill Lane in Cheadle, SK8 2PX, just off the A34 and close to junction 3 of the M60, which links directly to the M56.
Cheadle Hulme station is a short taxi ride from the hospital, and the city centre clinic suits patients arriving at Piccadilly or Oxford Road. If you live closer to a particular town, our Wilmslow, Knutsford and Alderley Edge pages may also help, and the full list is on our areas we cover page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can book directly with the clinic. If you are claiming on private medical insurance, check whether your insurer requires a GP referral, as some do.
How quickly can I be seen?
Appointments are usually available within a few days. If you have bleeding after the menopause or sudden severe pelvic pain, tell us when you call so you can be seen as a priority.
Is there a clinic in Cheshire itself?
The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle sits on the Cheshire border and is the closest clinic for most of north and east Cheshire. Patients from Chester, Crewe and west Cheshire are seen there or in Manchester city centre.
Can I have treatment privately if I was diagnosed on the NHS?
Yes. Many patients come to us with an NHS diagnosis and a long wait for treatment. Bring any letters and scan reports you have and the plan can be picked up from there.
